Don't Get It On You

Slime, as in compromise. Self-slime, as in willinglingly mucking yourself in those veritable half-truths that course so easily from your lips as you seek to get ahead (as you meet your boss' glassey stare and realize your paycheck likely depends on his/her continued acceptance of what you think and say). Which simply means accurately guessing at what they want you to think and say, and doing so spontaneously & cleverly, or at least without disdain, so that they can continue to believe how bright & capable they are, and you can continue working under them.
