visited the "meeting house" today. bruxy is marvelously messy, and so grass roots i half expected to see wild leeks sprouting from his ears. it's church as minor spectacle, and not half-bad at that. more to the point, his sermon on "compassion" really hit home with its focus on being in solidarity with the poor through our own rejection of rampant materialism. "Radical generosity" he calls it.

I call it, "wising up."
